The two largest John Deere farm equipment dealers in Manitoba have announced they are joining forces.
Greenvalley Equipment (GVE) and Enns Brothers, on Jan. 20, announced their intent to merge their businesses into one.
GVE has locations in Altona, Killarney, Morden (head office), and Treherne, and works with other Deere dealers across the Prairies as part of the Agri Western Dealer Group.
Enns Bros. operates locations in Arborg, Brandon, Melita, Morris, Neepawa, Oak Bluff (head office), Portage, Steinbach, and Shoal Lake.
"This represents an exciting step forward for both our customers and our employees," says Curwin Friesen, president of Greenvalley Equipment Ltd. in a news release. "By combining resources, expertise, and technology, we'll be able to serve farmers with an even broader range of solutions and faster access to the parts and service they depend on."
"Our companies share the same commitment to customers, employees, and communities," says Ray Bouchard, CEO of Enns Brothers Ltd. "Together, we'll have the scale and financial strength to continue investing in innovation and meeting the evolving needs of our industry for years to come."
A new name for the company is expected, but has not been announced. Financial terms and the ownership structure after the merger have also not been disclosed.
The deal is expected to close in April.
