AGI announces CEO change as shares rebound

by

The board of directors for Ag Growth International (AGI) announced a major executive change on Jan. 15.

Paul Brisebois has been appointed interim president and Chief Executive Officer effective immediately, as Paul Householder has stepped down from the role and AGI's board for personal reasons.

Brisebois was previously AGI’s senior vice president of North America farm and global portables.

The company says Householder has agreed to remain available to assist with the transition, and that a committee has been established to search for a permanent CEO.

The multi-national grain handling and storage manufacturer saw its shares on the TSX drop around 40 per cent in November after it delayed a quarterly earnings report, which was tied to accounting issues with the company's rapidly growing sales in Brazil. AGI's shares bounced back more than 25 per cent last week when the delayed report was published. Share values rose again on Thursday following the CEO announcement.

Headquartered in Winnipeg, Man., AGI's portfolio of farm equipment brands includes Batco, Farmobile, NECO, Sentinel, Westfield, and Westeel. The company has manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States, Brazil, India, France, and Italy.
