New Case IH Optum wins tractor award at Agritechnica

by

Case IH unveiled a lineup of three new Optum series tractors in the 360 to 435 horsepower range at Agritechnica in Germany this week.

The largest — the Optum 440 — won the "Upper Medium Size Tractor" category at the world's largest agricultural trade fair.

The company says the Optum combines high horsepower with reliable precision and agility.

“This is a design created in direct response to farmers’ feedback on what they want in a high-horsepower yet light, compact and manoeuvrable tractor. We are delighted to showcase it live at Agritechnica," says Franz Josef Silber, global product marketing medium horsepower tractors at Case IH.

Case in point, the Optum machines have a 6.1 m (20 ft) turning radius and new Cursor 9 8.7-litre engine, with a road speed up to 60 kph (37 mph). The company says the new lineup of machines come with an extended 750-hour service interval and a fully integrated Central Tire Inflation System.

Other features on the new Optum series include a new 4x2 CVXDrive transmission, updated PTO design, a new rear 3-point linkage, and new, easy to install wheel weights.

Agritechnica '25 runs Nov. 9-15, 2025 in Hanover, Germany. Check out the coverage here.
