Jaylor has launched the next generation of its vertical Total Mixed Rations (TMR) mixers. The new 6000 Series brings farmers faster mixing timing, lower horsepower requirements and enhanced durability.
In this report from Canada's Outdoor Farm Show in Woodstock, Ont., Jaylor marketing manager Ken Tamminga shares how the company's square-cut auger continues its key role in the success of the mixer, along with a series of improvements based on customer feedback.
From quicker bale processing time to lower fuel use, every improvement is designed with producers in mind, says Tamminga. He notes that farmers will see shorter mixing cycles, consistency in every mix and the flexibility to run the mixer with smaller tractors without compromising capacity.
The 6000 Series mixers feature two new models that require 20 per cent less horse power to get the job done. Other features include a seal-lock door, a patent-pending cam-latch system that ensures smooth feed flow for increased mixing efficiency for reduced wear. There's also a redesigned conveyor system — built tougher with galvanized steel and rust resistance — for easier feed placement.
In the video, Tamminga also looks through the larger viewing window which is designed to provide a clearer view into the mixer to monitor feed progress safely and accurately.
